All on four concept

The All-on-Four Concept® is an innovative method for restoring an edentulous jaw with fixed dentures. It is based on the use of only four implants. The term "All on Four" is trademarked and developed by the renowned implant manufacturer Nobel Biocare, in collaboration with Dr. Paolo Malo in Lisbon.

The revolutionary concept behind "All on Four" is based on the realization that even in edentulous jaws there is often sufficient bone in the anterior region. This allows implants to be anchored securely. This has the advantage that implants can be placed in just one session. unlike other implant procedures, which require several separate operations. This speeds up the healing process and significantly reduces overall costs.

The All-on-Four concept uses a total of four implants to create a fixed tooth replacement solution. It is worth noting that the rear two implants are placed at a 45-degree angle with the implant end facing forward, which was previously considered unfeasible. This method allows safe and efficient restoration of the edentulous jaw. It is a cost-effective as well as time-efficient alternative to conventional implant procedures.

This treatment can also be carried out gently with the "One time Clever" concept.

In the posterior region, the bone supply is usually unfavorable for implant placement. The maxilla is difficult with the maxillary sinuses (maxillary sinus > takes up a lot of space). Therefore, direct implant placement in the molar region (from tooth 6) usually requires bone augmentation (sinus lift).

In the end it is again crowns or bridges on artificial tooth roots

Bone loss in the mandible can make it difficult to place implants, especially in the posterior region. In such cases, according to conventional doctrine, it can be difficult to securely fix a fixed prosthesis on implants. The "all on four" concept usually uses implants longer than 15mm. this is

Compared to conventional implants, which are usually 9-13 mm long, our longer implants are a significantly better option. They feature the ability to be loaded immediately, which guarantees a stable and long-lasting solution for missing teeth. The "All on Four" concept often allows for a faster and more cost-effective procedure compared to traditional implant procedures. For this reason, many people who have lost multiple teeth choose this popular choice to provide a reliable solution for their dentition. The use of longer implants improves stability and longevity for missing teeth.

The oblique implantation of the posterior (distal) implants requires precise positioning, which usually requires 3D planning. This 3D planning makes it possible to place the implants with millimeter precision using a 3D drilling template or navigation. Experts have made the "All on Four" concept widely available after long discussions due to its success. Other implant manufacturers also offer special abutments for their systems, all of which enable restoration with 4 implants (including 2 obliquely placed posterior implants). This concept provides patients with a safe and durable solution for their tooth replacement.

"All on 4" - Solid teeth in one day

With our "Fixed teeth in one day" program and the All-on-4 method, we can significantly speed up the complex process of full restoration with dental implants. The All-on-4 method allows us to build a complete row of teeth on just four dental implants.

We inform our patients in a detailed preliminary consultation, which includes a preliminary examination (including medical history and DVT/digital volume tomography), in order to inform them in detail about the treatment. If necessary, we remove the teeth to be replaced and anchor the implants firmly in the jawbone. We perform this procedure under general anesthesia or light sedation, if desired. After implant placement, we perform a digital scan of the current situation.

The patient temporarily receives a fixed temporary denture. After the treatment, the patient can go home with this until the dental implants have grown in completely. We replace the temporary denture after about 3-6 months with the final fixed denture made with the help of the post-implant scan.

Patients interested in the All-on-4 method are given detailed advice on dental implantation by the treating dentist and team. We will answer all questions about the dental implant and the treatment, the jawbone, the anesthesia and, of course, the costs. In the office, we will discuss together whether immediate dental implants are suitable and whether they should be placed in your case. It is important that we consider all factors and discuss all questions openly in order to make the best possible decision for your dental health. If immediate dental implants are being considered, we will explain to you exactly how the procedure works and what the risks and benefits are.
