DEALING WITH CORONA IN THE DENTAL PRACTICE

Our staff is fully vaccinated and tested 2x a week!

Hygiene regulations in dental practices

Even before the corona pandemic, patients or employees with viral infections (viruses/bacteria such as measles, hepatitis or HIV, for example) could always be expected to enter the dental practice. Therefore, due to the increased risk of infection from working in the mouth, the strictest hygiene regulations apply to dental personnel in Germany. These apply to all dental practice staff as well as to patients present in the practice rooms.

Visits to the dentist in Germany are extremely safe for patients. The generally and already before Corona extremely strict hygiene regulations in dentistry compared to other health professions contribute greatly to a correspondingly high level of protection - also under Corona conditions in the practice.

Official letter from the German Dental Association dated October 30, 2020.

Measures in our paxis rooms

Our practice team is professionally sensitized to the dangers of infection and, in order to ensure the continued health of our patients, has carefully integrated further measures into its daily work as part of the hygiene concept against coronaviruses (SARS-CoV-2). For example, access to the practice is only permitted with mouth/nose protection and at an appropriate distance. Door handles and surfaces are regularly disinfected by us throughout the practice and hand disinfection facilities have been installed in various frequented areas. It is also ensured that the handover of the insurance card can also take place without contact. At every visit of our patients we make sure about the state of health of the last 14 days. In addition, all rooms are regularly aired.

Mouth rinses reduce germ load in the mouth according to study

According to a study ("The Journal of Infectious Diseases, Volume 222, Issue 8, October 15, 2020 ), mouth rinses freely available in drugstores minimize the potential risk of coronavirus transmission. Accordingly, to further reduce the risk of infection during treatment, we ask our patients to rinse with such a mouth rinse for 30 seconds prior to treatment.
